Make Your Own Laundry Detergent - Skip The Chemicals!

If you are tired of washing the clothes you live in every day with chemical-laden detergents ...

And you are feeling like making a quality detergent replacement is going to prove to be expensive and time consuming ...

This post is going to be your new best friend ; )

The next time you are at the store, pick up the following 3 ingredients: Borax, Baking Soda, and Ivory Soap ...

Once you get home pull out a mixing bowl, a one cup measure, and a cheese grater ...

Two simple steps and you are well on your way ...

In about 5 minutes you are going to have enough handmade laundry detergent to wash 24 loads of laundry ... WooHoo!

Measure out 1 cup each of borax and baking soda ...

Toss them in the mixing bowl ...

Grate one 4 oz bar of ivory soap ...

Toss it in the bowl ...

Mix it up ...

Use your hands ...

It really does work better if you use your hands ; )

AND there you have it! ...

Enough detergent for 24 loads ...

It doesn't look like much. BUT it really is enough for 24 loads!

I keep mine in a plastic container that I bought some time ago to store a 5lb bag of sugar ...

Sugar is not very welcome in my diet anymore ...

But the container works great for storing my laundry detergent ...

It has a flip open lid ...

Almost perfect ...

The only thing it lacked was a bit of eye appeal ...

So I 'prettied it up' a bit ...

Now it makes me smile ; )

Toss an 1/8 cup measure in there ...

It simplifies things!

And there you have it - simple, easy, affordable, handmade laundry detergent!

PLEASE NOTE: Ivory soap is 99.9% all-natural. If you want this product to be 100% all-natural, replace it with an all-natural handmade bar.
